About Joseph

Joseph Erwin is an artist from Napa, California. For the last twenty years Joseph has used his experience with metal fabrication to express his creative perspective. From a young age, Joseph has used geometry, color and negative space to express his vision; be it on paper, canvas, with steel or any other mediums this world has to offer. Whether out in nature or standing in front of the scrap pile at the shop, Joseph has yet to find an object that doesn’t inspire a design or pattern of beauty.

Currently Joseph is working out of a studio on Mare Island in Vallejo, California. The decommissioned Naval Base is a constant source of inspiration and materials. In collaboration with Fog Fab Design and Fabrication, Joseph has been able to bring his artistic visions to life with little to no limitation of fabrication capabilities in the workshop.
